MY STORY
A passion that started young..
Melanie has had a lifelong passion for horses, starting with her first horse at just 4 years old. At 15, she was hired to start colts and it’s developed into a lifestyle to this day. “Horses are a huge part of who I am, I feel like I’m not myself unless I’m working with a horse.” Open minded, and willing to learn is what makes Melanie stand out from the rest. Consistently taking clinics from numerous clinicians and trainers, she is always expanding her knowledge and wanting to further her education. Melanie is a CHA certified riding instructor, a certified equine massage therapist as well as recently becoming a certified barefoot trimmer and apprenticing under Second Chance equine services.
MY SERVICES
HORSE TRAINING
Horse training is available to select horses. Colt starting, problem solving, fine tuning, conditioning and refreshers are all welcome. Melanie is the on-site trainer and believes every horse learns differently, and will cater to the horses way of learning to help them become safe, steady partners. Horses benefit greatly from confidence building, and they will find it here overcoming obstacles and challenges incorporated in the training process.
RIDING LESSONS
Melanie is a Certified Riding Instructor, specializing in beginner to intermediate English and Western riding lessons. We have safe lesson horses available for use, or bring your own. Private or group lessons are available. There’s so much more to horses than just riding, and our lesson programs cover all aspects of horsemanship.
